1. What does EvilEye Games do?
Wow... that is a big question. We do a lot actually... but a majority is behind the scenes. Our free memberships grant a user all sorts of access. However, to give as simple of an answer as I can, I would say we provide useful and entertaining services to the technological world and game industry. Some large selling points are that we want to be different from the average community. We allow all members to have a bio, a gaming clan, use our forums, access restricted areas of the site, maintain a friends list, message users, get involved with our groups, and a bit more actually. If you are curious, create an account and look around. Its free all the time and gives unlimited access, so there is nothing to lose.
2. How do you manage financial matters?
Well, to be honest that is a bit more complex then what you may think. We don't charge fees for accounts and we don't have pop-ups breaking your visual of our site. Those are the 2 main things that should concern a member. Now, if you are REALLY interested on the topic, join the site and apply for the Corporate group. In there, budgets are handled from top to bottom.
3. Do you hire people?
No, not at this time. While we legally can hire people, funding and demand does not allow for it. Our members, groups, and development teams are all volunteers. Someday we do hope to actually hire people people as staff, but for now it is strictly volunteer supported.
4. Do you sponsor gaming teams?
No. That answer will doubtfully ever change, but it seems like a logical question I suppose considering the nature of our work and community. Bottom line, while we do support our clan and make it possible for ours to create, manage, and join clans, we do not actually sponsor anything outside our company limits essentially because of budget.
5. What makes you different from other communities?
Well, in general - a lot. However, if I had to answer this question with 2 or 3 points I would have to say that (1) we really listen to our community members and do everything we can to cater to their thoughts and ideas; (2) the combination of services we offer basically makes us a one-stop-shop with game reviews, a messaging client, forums, game development, programming help, clan support, free accounts, user profiles, etc; and (3) the streamlined communication with everyone in the community, assuming they don't block you. While the list could continue, those are the 3 big selling points I think of... plus, its all free!
